Kimberly Pursch,

I have known Dr. Soliz for a little over 10 years. I was first introduced to him during my time as a student at the University of St. Thomas. I was a student worker at the Cameron School of Business and had a great deal of interaction with faculty. Dr. Soliz was not just another member of the faculty, he often provided me with guidance in my classes and offered advice to me as a young student. He quickly became a mentor who provided real life advice that served me throughout my time as a student and extended throughout my professional career. I was privileged enough to take his Graduate Management class during my MBA coursework and the lessons I learned there were invaluable. He provided all of his students with information that was relevant and memorable. His “real life” approach made the class not only informational, but applicable as well.

After my time as a student, Dr. Soliz coached me though many career moves as well as offered insight into my post graduate pursuits. He accompanied me to university visits and even aided me in contacting program directors to discuss various career and educational opportunities.

I also know that my experience with Dr. Soliz is not an isolated one. Many of my former classmates have a similar relationship with him and he has offered us all not only advice but amazing networking experiences as well. As a member of HCC, he has opened many doors for his students to become future professors by providing us with the opportunity to become adjunct staff.

He truly is a gift to work with, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for career or real world advice. He has helped me throughout both academic and professional experiences and his role in my career has been tremendous.
